More books, more programs and more fun as Express Yourself continues.  Week two of summer reading features:

Angela Seyfried and her perspective on journalism will be at the Burton Memorial Library Monday, June 22 at 10:00 AM.

Express your artistic aptitude for sculpture when an instructor from the Flint Institute of Art holds class at the Montrose-Jennings Library on Monday, June 22 at 2:00 PM.

How do you accidently become a writer?  Find out when Eileen Button visits the Grand Blanc-McFarlen Library on Wednesday, June 24, at 7:00 PM

Show time for the TeenFusion Talent show is 3:00 PM at the Swartz Creek-Perkins Library on Thursday, June 25.  Auditions for all talent shows are being accepted via You Tube.  Qualifying contestants will be notified of their performance date and time. 

Read/Write/Lunch meets again on Saturday, June 27 at 1:00 PM.  Teen authors are invited to share and discuss their work.   Bring your lunch and the library will serve desert and beverages.

Do you have TALENT?  Auditions for the talent show are being reviewed on You Tube at http://www.youtube.com/group/teenfusion.  Four libraries will be holding shows throughout the summer with finals on July 30th.   For more information see the May 19 post below.

Teens for TAG

Are you It?  TAG stands for Teen Advisory Group and the GDL needs you to help plan, promote and present events, rate your reads, voice your opinion on library materials and meet other teens who share your interests.  On September 18, the TAG for Grand Blanc-McFarlen and Goodrich will meet in Grand Blanc at 7:00 PM.  Last month, attendees agreed to write book reviews for the blog.  Discussion focused on programming and what TAG members thought about current GDL program offerings.  Signup is easy.  Just click on the TAG Signup Page on TeenFusion and fill in the blanks.  Make sure to include a valid email or contact number.  Click submit once.  Watch for a personal invitation to a regional TAG meeting in your library service area.  Regions are:  Montrose/Clio/Flushing; Headquarters/Genesee Valley/Beecher; Burton/Davison; Gaines/Linden/Fenton; Grand Blanc/Goodrich; Baker Park/Flint Township/Swartz Creek; Mt. Morris/Johnson/Otisville.  Take GDL TAG challenge!!!
